IP Transit
We carry and deliver your traffic to the Cloud, via our fully resilient and secure network. Our IP transit service is backed by a 100% service level agreement and 24x7 network monitoring.

DATACENTER.EU operates a fully resilient multi-homed IP transit low latency network with multiple connections to tier 1 bandwidth providers including: Level 3, Telia & Cogent. This provides enhanced routing, capacity and redundancy. It is for this reason that a 100% uptime SLA is provided to IP Transit customers taking multiple feeds into our network - for the ultimate peace of mind.

IP-Transit is suitable for those already with equipment located in a datacentre. We can provide IP transit delivered on 100Mbps or 1Gbps burstable ports and committed data rates of 5Mbps to 10Gbps capped or 95th percentile. IP Transit can be provided either statically routed with an IP address allocation or as a BGP feed.
backbone
Please find here an overview of all common IP transit pricing models. We recommend bandwidth usage in cases where data transfer exceeds 1,000 Gigabytes.
IP-Transit Pricing Models
Traffic - Volume  Based Committed Internet Traffic per GB

- Uplink port to our redundant backbone
- /29 IP-Subnet included  (different subnets upon request)
- Beyond the Committed traffic 0,19 € per Gigabyte shall be charged

Incoming and outgoing IP-traffic is retained and added at the end of each accounting period (end of month). Charges are according to the price for each Gigabyte or parts thereof.

DATACENTER.EU rackspace offers
- On demand
Committed Data Rate - Capped
Commited Data Rate (Capped) Internet Bandwidth

- Uplink port to our redundant backbone
- Limited Data Rate
- /29 IP-Subnet included (different subnets upon request)

Committed Data Rate (CDR) with a cap is very similar to your office DSL connection, except it is the same speed in both directions.  Basically, you tell us how large you would like your connection to be, for example 10Mbps, and we will cap the connection to this speed.  It means you can use the connection as much as you'd like without incurring extra charges; however the maximum you would be able to throughput would always be fixed to the limit you specify.
We can increase the limit at short notice if demand for your service rises.
Capped connections are monthly charged and provisioned at intervals and are at a contention rate of 1:1, i.e. the entire commitment is guaranteed to be available for 100% of the month.

Committed Data Rate - Burstable

Committed Data Rate (Burstable) Internet Bandwidth - 95%

- Uplink port to our redundant backbone
- /29 IP-Subnet included (different subnets upon request)

Invoiced according to the 95th Percentile method of calculation and burstable within the limit of 200% of the commitment.

Bandwidth usage from your switch port is sampled at regular intervals, and logged on our system. The top 5% of bandwidth usage for the month is disregarded (roughly 36 hours), the 95th percentile remaining is used as the figure on which you are billed. So if this figure is higher than your commitment, you will be billed for the excess at the average price per Mbps of your CDR.

IP Addresses
IP Addresses are allocated in netblocks of suitable sizes according to the customer's requirements, and in line with RIPE guidelines.

PI Space and/or BGP

As DATACENTER.EU acts as a Local Internet Registry (LIR), IP Transit can be provided with an IP address allocation or as a BGP feed. Customers wishing to have PI space obtained through our RIPE membership will be charged a £250 admin charge to cover our time in helping with the requests, and configuring our routers.
Customers wishing to connect to Luxembourg by BGP, either through their own AS or from PI space, will be set-up to the router configuration.

24x7 support
DATACENTER.EU operates a highly technical network operation centre (NOC) that is manned 24x7 with first line support staff having router access to immediately address customer queries.  We also have a helpdesk centre that respond to non-critical ticket queries and are available 24x7 to support your service.
